cutter08
Well now that the regular season is over and all we have is late season goose, How many of you guys will be going out west for the spring snow goose season? I know we are going out for 2 trips. Going to be running 15dz full bodys, 30 to 40 dozen sillosocks, and 3 vortex machines. Should be a good season. What is everyone else running for decoy spreads? cutter08
LOL yeah we have done that to and i bet 1 out of 20 jumps you try work out. I like to shoot them decoying. But if you can get up close to them on a jump man it can be fun.
carpshooterdeluxe
our typical spread will be about 300-1000 sillosocks, 1 or 2 e-callers, and a few flappers depending on who is all in the field. have fun with those fullbodies in the mud this spring boys! matt f
lol everyone says that about the fullbobies and yes at times it can be a pain. We only run 10 dz. fullbodies around our layout blinds and the rest are sillo socks so its not that bad, not like the guys running 500 plus fullbodies that would suck especially this spring. wooduck26
I will do a few hunts this spring....Im prolly not going to be helping guide in MO so that will cut down the number of days afield.....A good day in the snowgoose spread is hard to beat! cutter08
Yeah they do suck to put out in the mud but the mane reason we bought them was for hunting in Canada in the fall. Sillos are by far way easier to set out in the spring. And on top of it i don't think the decoys matter as much as being in a field that the birds want to be in. If your on the X they will decoy. WallyGader
Spring should be another good one! we run 1000 socks 6 speaker e caller. Another vote for fullbodys + Mud = long day..

I can even borrow some decoys. where ya from? how far are you willing to drive? what kind of decoys can you bring to the table? post up a little more info...there are always trips planned where somebody backs out and they might be looking for another person, but you have to sell yourself a little bit. GooBack
After February 1st, i'll be able to drive anywhere. I live in Minnesota, can you hunt snow geese here in the spring?
matt f
MN has a spring snow goose season but the majority of the birds migrate through the Dakotas. I'm not saying you won't see any here because there are guys that hunt western MN and kill birds in the spring.
