lilwalter
I planted several a couple years ago. A couple have a burned branch. I assume they need to be cut out? Any chance of re-growth or are they going to look out of shape forever.
croixflats
Over time it will fill in if a small enough hole. If a large hole take some nylon stockings anchor one end inside the tree either the trunk or another branch. Take the other end of the nylon and tie to a branch closest the whole. First move that branch to where it fills the whole then tie that branch so it does not move from whole. You may have to move 2 branches depending the size of whole or resituate the acnchor end of the nylon. It may look thin in that area but over time it will fill in.
