Been starting to make my own snells and thought I'd see what people like on theirs. I 've been fishing in 20-30 feet lately with bottom bouncers. I'm starting to become a believer that subtle differences can trigger fish. Last time I was out, me and my friend both had on bottom bouncers with the same weight, hook, bait and float. The only difference is he had a green float and no spinner while I had a gold float with a spinner. In the morning I outfished him by quite a bit, but in the afternoon he caught 9 fish to my none... infact I didnt even get a bite. Starting to think thats not by sheer chance.
