LOTW Sabaskong Bay

Oh boy. Good ol' Sabaskong... laugh I was there this year over the 4th of July and everything was about 2 weeks behind. We saw plenty of females still pretty spawned out and beat up. Typically post spawn, many of the males retreat to main lake structure and push out beyond Cyclone point while the females will stay in the bays etc. for most of the year. Sorry I'm not up to date on current conditions but I can imagine things have REALLY heated up. It won't be hard to find fish as they are everywhere. I recommend fishing your classic musky haunts (rock, bullrush, points, humps, saddles, combo's etc.) We put a lot of miles on the boat in the week while being there and saw well over 40 fish, but with few commitments. Looking back, most of the more quality fish were VERY close to our lodge. Good to know for next year. I was pretty close to going back up in the end of September but I think I'm gonna have to wait until next year. Good luck and enjoy it.
