Grubs?

Recommended Posts

I have noticed just these random dead spots popping up in my yard where the lawn was previously well established. I have tried putting down an ortho bug/grub killer, but that was about a month ago, and the spots keep coming up. I also still have lots of moths in my yard, and someone told me the grubs are the larvae stage of moths.

I am wondering if you guys can recommend a good insect/grub killer, or if you think it may not even be the problem.

Thanks guys.

Those little white moths are the adult form of sod webworms, not japanese beetles (grubs). The sod webworm is a surphace insect, grubs are subsurface. It's the larval stage that does the damage. You need a completely different treatment for them. We use TalStar, works great for about 150 kinds of bugs
