Tilt and Trim Issue

1. Last summer I was pulling my kids on a tube and the needle on the TT gauge on the dash went all the way to the bottom and will not come back up and show the position. I have tried to figure out why but can't seem to find the issue.

2. Two summers ago I was on Mille Lacs lake launching and a wave picked up the boat while it was in reverse and dropped the lower unit onto some rocks. It bent two blades on the prop and killed the motor. I had the prop rebuilt. Every since then, the motor does not seem to trim up as much when out on plane. The spray on the side of the boat never seems to go back to the transom as far as it once did. I have checked the lower unit and it seems fine, visually. The motor once pushed the boat about 39 or so and now 36 is max. Does not seem like that is much of an issue but it all seems related. Any ideas? More info needed?

The boat is a 2004 Lund Explorer 1700 with a 115 Johnson Four Stroke.
