I was outlooking for the same batch of pink lady slippers that I usually see every year....They weren't there! ....not one plant!....go figure....maybe it's from the rough winter we had cold spring or whatever....Guess I just have to wait till next year ....here's a couple images from this morning from the same vacinity

early stage bunchberry ...still greenish tinge to the flower...

not sure of this dragon fly species...sure was plenty of em flying around!...

and a painted turtle on his favorite log....
