OutdoorAddictx
Nice to see winter does still happen in south dakota. Me and my dad are getting tired of catching these baby west river panfish, and we are asking for any recommendations for somewhere to catch nice perch or crappie east river. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks a ton.

OutdoorAddictx
Thanks carpshooter, any motels in the area you would recommend. How about bait shops?
carpshooterdeluxe
Can't recommend any hotels in the thompson/poinsett/preston areas, as those lakes are usually day trips for me, but if you head towards webster or waubay, most of the places there if not all are catered to sportsmen. there is a glacial lakes tourism HSOforum you can google that should help with lodging. I've stayed in Waubay at the Circle Pines motel before during goose season; good rates and a nice cleaning shack. Only hotel I've stayed at in Webster was the one on the far west side of town by the implement dealer, and that was a late night/early morning for work one day.Bait shops, in webster you have Sportsman's Cove, Doug and his crew work hard to take care of their customers. In lake Preston the Bait Box is a good stop. I think the gas station in waubay sells bait, and there are plenty of other places in the areas mentioned that have tackle selection and minnows on hand as well. Again, I don't have too much info as I usually buy my stuff here in Sioux Falls before heading out of town. Also, there are some good lakes around Watertown and Madison as well, so spend some time on the GFP HSOforum looking at lake information throw a dart at a map of eastern SD and have some fun!
