Guest
Thanks to the cold and quick changes, fishing continues to be challenging. The best is yet to come. We will likely be fishing the ice into April, maybe even to Easter. We are full the next ten days but we've got room after that. The last two weeks of March and the first of April should be a rewarding time to come on up.Improving reports are coming in. We taped a show for Waters and Woods Outdoors to be aired with Kevin Gregg on March 24th at 10:30AM on the Midwest outdoors Sports Channel. Fishing has been picking up for the Jumbo Perch real good here lately, the big sows are starting to stack up getting ready for the Spring spawning run and they are very hungry this time of year. They are starting to move out of the deep water of the main lake and coming to the Minnewaukan Flats. I have had people catching up to a pail and a half of perch all in the one pound range and up to two and a quarter pound range lately, I feel the best is yet to come. The walleyes and northerns are really going to take off nearby as the fresh melting water starts to reach the lake from the northwest. One of our guests brought up a 41" pike two days back. Remember to sharpen your hooks and get your line wet or you'll miss the fun.
