    •     The roadblock in this case is Ryan.  They should ask him to step down.
    •   Oh look that big money in politics Del likes to defend.
    •   It's more a problem of special interests and political ideals setting up roadblocks. If they did the their jobs and do what is in the best interest of the voters it would be an easy fix but you can't do that when big donors and insurance companies have to have their way.
    • Well my season is done, was an extremely short year, with not alot of fishing opportunities, but still enjoyed some good outings with good friends!
    • Was just speaking of health in general, you brought up the cancer.   Speaking of: http://www.nbcnews.com/health/cancer/amp/it-s-not-your-fault-researchers-confirm-cancer-often-random-n737776   Well, ill just eat like a slob cause it can happen to anybody. They want you to think that, drive that machine johns Hopkins!
    • Good. If we had a third opposition group when they were pushing Obamacare maybe that wouldn't have passed either.
    • AKA the Tea-Party
    •   One brave soul comments but nobody really knows.   10% is YUUUGE!  Most are struggling to stay in the black at all.  Yes, equipment and market share are a must - the customer demands it.  Stay current and convenient or die trying.   Aside from pharmaceuticals, the biggest problem is keeping up with the regulatory requirements.  EMTALA requires hospitals to see everyone, regardless of ability to pay.  The reimbursements are controlled by CMS (Medicare/Medicade) so if a hospital wants to be reimbursed it must maintain Deemed Status.  The most common way to acquire Deemed Status is through surveys by a private company called The Joint Commission.   The Standards are set by CMS, surveyed by TJC (which hospitals pay a fee for) and cited for any deficiencies.  EVERYTHING is surveyed from the physical building, to policies/procedures, credentials, life safety codes and so on.  If you're deficient anywhere, you have to correct it or lose your Deemed Staus - and your reimbursements, which aren't even enough to cover the actual costs of caring for those who can't pay their own expenses.   And yes, expenses are high.  Because: Staff need to be skilled and licensed, certain infrastructure components have to exist where they don't in other businesses and most all the equipment used has to be certified and tested regularly, and purchased from certified manufacturers.   And every step has to be documented.  If you didn't document it, you didn't do it.   Literally, there's your snapshot of why medical is so expensive.  And yes, it's all in the name of patient safety - which won't be compromised.   Now, I'm going fishing.  See ya.
    • NO.  But the freedom caucus gives us an object lesson on what thrings would be like with three parties, since they appear to be a defacto third party albeit embedded within the Republicans.
