mainbutter
I don't know the lake city marina, but in any carp fishing all I use is either whole kernel sweet corn or nightcrawlers.I use a sinker w/bead above a barrel swivel, 6-8 inches of fluorocarbon leader, and a bait hook. Fish right on the bottom, cast to where the fish are if you can see 'em, sit and wait.

Sportsman4Life
2) You can only have corn on your hook. Any loose kernels in the water is not legal. It is considered chumming. If the DFG agent wanted to give you a hard time, he/she could write you a ticket for both chumming the water AND feeding ducks and geese with corn. That's what I just pulled up
Sportsman4Life
BUT ILLEGAL after trout stocking has begun in the lake or body of water that you are fishing.
BuckKiller
Curious..... DNR in MN told me that using CORN in any body of water was 100% illegal???? I might believe it is on some (have not fished every lake) but not all lakes and rivers. People use corn all the time for sunfish and carp.
