Trout in Square Lake...

in my life i have never caught and lake trout i went last fall of 08 and i tried everything. waxies, worms, rooster tail, shiny spinners, shiny bait i couldnt get any. Any help on lures or bait or whatever.

Spring.. they come right by the dock.

To answer your quetion.. First we need to know what time of year you are targeting them.. Winter time is white tube jig season for me as well as jigging spoons airplane jigs and so on.. Now summer time i downrig for lakers then i troll mainly spoons but i have also been knowen to cut plug for them. Trout are an awsome game fish and great fun to catch

I used mealworms. You'll see schools come by. I see it almost every year. Key is time of year, water temp, and location. But they do come by the dock in schools.
