lowrance XOG

Question

any body used one of these yet?

I really don't need the street navigation, but I am looking for something dash mounted with a bit larger screen than the h20c for in the plow truck out on the lake.

Hey Jigglestick!!

I chimed in on an earlier thread about the xog (zog by my wifes comment .... as opposed to a former girlfriends name ore my mother in law due to voice directionslol ..... haha) I've had mine a year now, got it when I was on the road a lot and needed the directional type gps but bought it due to the lowrance in my boat ... have the lake master chip and could transfer my way points.

Anyway, have used it twice now on ice with chip and am way impressed plus used it in the boat last fall when the x104c hiccuped once. (lucky to have it in my pocket that day!!) there is only one draw back to this point and that is onboard lithium batteries. only recharge with 12 v or usb plug in. I'm ok as I have plug in's but if my Magellan that I use deer hunting goes south, the battery option on the zog will require a work around to get past. I've thought about it, and know what I'll do, just know that it's not as easy as a couple spare aa's.

good luck, get a zog without a second thought if u already have a lowrance product.
