I will be getting a Portuguese Pointer(PP) in June or July. I've pheasant hunted my whole life with Brittany's and they are great dogs but my girlfriend wants something different. I've never heard of a PP let alone hunted behind one. They sound like an awesome bird dog. Has anyone else hunted behind one or known someone who has owned one? It will be my our first dog as a couple and we couldn't be anymore excited. We are picking it up in Bismarck, ND from Powder River Sporting Dogs. They breed Portuguese Pointer and Wire hairs.
