I am just wanting to know if my memory is correct or not? I remember tipups being illegal in MN till about the late 70s. I also swear that I saw a 12" jiffy auger sitting on a store shelf in the mid 80s. Your help is appreciated, thanks.

If memory serves right the late 70's would make it for tip ups because they became legal at the same time that Mn went back to 2 lines in winter.
The Jiffy time is about right, also remember that if you were not a junior King Kong those suckers were not for you!

Thanks alot, Maybe my mind is better than what I thought it was. I am sure that a person could get a little more than a wet foot stepping in to one of those 12" holes. I could really lose stuff down one of those.
