onemore
I've been looking for carp on the full on fall feeding frenzy, but haven't seen it yet. Maybe with the strange summer and warm fall they haven't gone into the fall feed yet?
DEADhead
Are you looking in lakes or in rivers? In the rivers up here, the cold front we had a couple of weeks ago effectively shut down the bite and scattered the fish from their summer haunts. The fish that I found congregated were not in the eating mood. Maybe it's different for you guys down in themetro, but as far as "up north" goes, I think the hardcore carp action is over for the season. At least for the fly fisherman. The fish have moved in to deeper water and were not taking flies agressively by any means. I had a couple week peak of catching big fish before the cold water shut things down.
