INVERTER QUESTIONS????

for any of you guys running inverters in your houses, what size do you run? And what kind did u buy? I'm planning on running a tv,dvd, and ceiling fan, and was just wondering how big of and inverter i would need. I dont want to be running a generator so i figured i would just use deep cycle 12 volts with an inverter set up. any tips?
