Mantrap Report

Quick post for the muskie guys,

I spent a few hours on the Trap friday am and sunday pm. Friday, fished 5:30a-11a, boated three quality fish. 44 and 40 skiis and a 39 pike. Both skiis on a loon flavored top raider and the pike on an orange harrasser. Both skiis were in the cabbage in home bay and the pike was on a point in the NE corner of the main lake. Sunday, a couple small pike and bass and one strike by a monster skii. I pulled the trigger too early and missed the hook up! As you can imagine I was not happy about that. Also heard a great story at the launch from a family fishing off a pontoon that had a 40+ ski smash a small pike that was caught by a litte girl. They had several kids on the boat, sounded like a circus! Fun to hear those stories. From talking to others, sounded like the action has been slow. Beautiful weather over the weekend. Action should be picking up! It's a blessing to be able to spend time in this incredible part of the world! We are expecting a baby any day now so won't be able to get out for a while. Tight lines to all!

Sound like you had a great weekend I am trying to make it up to a buddies cabin this weekend in that area and we are going to try and make it to Mantrap Saturday. Seen 6 of them boated on the trap this year so I am excited to get out there again.
