So I just got an '05 Lund Pike 17 and I brought it home to find out that my 7' Compre rod doesn't fit in the 7' tube in my center rod locker. I think its a combo of the butt end of the rod being so long and maybe more importantly the big eyelet (its a spinning rod) doesn't fit into the tube. This is pretty disapointing since Compre's are my rod of choice.

Has anybody had this problem before and is there an easy fix for it? Do the new rod locker diviers for center storage fit in the older boats? Could I take that one out and put a different one in? Is there an easier way of doing this?
