chasineyes
Anyone know of any tricks to remove scratches out of a car. I bought a car in the winter that looks like a rake was taken to it daily. I dont think there deep enough to penetrate the metal. I sometimes see these "cover up" waxes available...
Farley
Scratch X works good. Run your fingernail over the scratches and if it catches, then it's pretty much too deep to fix. Just try the Scratch X on one panel to start out with and see if it will work. If doing it by hand, it might take a lot of rubbing but dont rub too hard, scratch X is mildly abrasive as far as waxes go. it also might take a few coats. Then make sure to put a carnuba wax on after. Also make sure to wash the area first before using anything. If that doesnt work and you still think the scratches are fixable you might need a DA(dual action) polisher and some specialized treatments. Poorboys makes some good stuff for paint care. Just go to their HSOforum and browse around, they list what each product is used for.
