collector plates

has anyone recently gotten collector plates? how long did it take?

I looked into collector plates for my motorcycle. I could get them anytime. They like for you to not drive the vehicle a lot, like only to shows and parades.

thanks for the reply, I transfered my title and paid for the plates, was told plates will come in the mail, recieved my title three weeks ago still no plates, was wondering how long it took others to get them

It took my all most 3 months last summer to get my "hot rod" plates, which are basically the same thing as collector plates. Now, mind you I was over charged at first, received a check in the mail (out of the blue) from the state for the difference (never had that before), come to find I was short again and then went to the D.M.V. and paid a couple bucks more. I will also add I had a custom saying on the plates as well.

Under regular circumstances, I have heard 4-6 weeks. Watch the temporary permit sticker, so the date does not run out. If it does, just back down to the D.M.V. and get a new one.

thanks shackbash, I was offered the temporary but didn't take it, didn't think I was that close to done, guess what it's ready now and I have the itch, I think I will stop today and see if I can get the temporary.
