theoilman
Yes, I know, this post isn't fair!I just picked a quart of blackberries in my front yard fence line. (No, I am not in Minnesota. I am a "foreigner" in 'Northern' Florida. I will be in Minnesota and Wisconsin this summer. I remember the first time I was there, tent camping on the western shore of Lake Michigan in July and woke up with frost on the tent.)
Dotch
(doing best Homer Simpson impression) Mmmmmmm....blackberries. Is there anything they can't do?Making pie or just consuming them greedily like I would? That darn frost can happen almost anytime one least expects it in these parts. The infamous Father's Day frost back in '92 caused all kinds of problems for gardeners and farmers alike. In the early 1980's can also remember having a frosty malted beverage with some friends in ND on July 4th and seeing frost on the roof of their car.
