Jex
I opened the garage door with great expectations for the coming year. Walking over to her, sitting there gleaming under the harsh glow of a single incandescent bulb, a smile slowly crept upon my face. I went over it like a pilot pre-flighting an aircraft, oil levels, check, tire pressure, check, fuel, check. With all the preparations made I pull on my gloves, put on my glasses and throw a leg over the seat. Again the smile on my face pushes through and all of the rides I've had on her came flooding back into my mind. The tight corners, the wheelies, dodging all of the things that the world puts in front of you trying to screw up your day flashed into my mind like memories of youth. Inserting the key I feel young again, turning it to run and hitting the starter button, she springs to life, putting her into gear and rolling out of the garage all of the neighbors turn to look, almost with sadness they realize that they too must start their own lawnmowers and tackle their yards as well. merganser
That is pretty funny. Wish I could get at my motorcycle but it is parked at the back of my in-laws shed behind three campers and three lawn mowers.
