Powerstroke
In probably the easiest sign that spring has arrived (however muted it may be) is that the silver maples have begun to bloom. For those that don't know, trees have flowers. It is the first thing to come out once the buds have broken. Despite their small size they are quite detailed and amazing to look at. If you're curious what to look for, find a silver maple in the area and look for the large red bud clusters. Trees that are blooming will have a fuzzy appearance at a distance and if you get up close you will see the yellowish flowers emerging from the buds.I will try to get a picture of the trees in my yard.
