0 harvey lee Posted March 15, 2008 Share Posted March 15, 2008 Yes. I bent my Nils just above where the flighting starts. I had my son, who is a tool maker, cut the shaft off just above the flighting. The he cut off the area at the other end where the coupler is that attaches to the powerhead. He cut a new piece and a little longer and then welded it on to the auger by the flighting and then also welded the coupler back on.You will need to make sure that you have it straight and that it doesnt heat up too much when you weld it together as it could tweak the shafts trueness a little from welding it.Mine does work as good as new.
