Do these work pretty well on the ice? I just got one at Gander yesterday for $50. They matched the price from the Cabela's ad. It should be a significant upgrade from the Zebco I was using. What are your experiences with this product?

I saw a couple of folks using them at Fishapalooza. They're no flasher, but for the money they beat having nothing with you. For what you paid you will at least be able to see depth and mark some fish. That's the important part.
