Where to start looking for lakers

I am going up north this weekend and am going to do a little laker fishin and maybe a little laker catchin. The problem is that I have no clue where to start looking for them. Do I start in the deepest part of the lake or maybe a little shallower? Will they be suspended or on the bottom? Sorry if this is a repeat question. I have looked through the forumns and have not found exactly what I am looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the waters that you will catch lakers in is so clear that you can fish just about anywhere and if they want what you have on they will come and take a look. I like to be somewhere between 35-50 feet.

It was buried pretty far back but will be brought up to the top when it is getting closer to laker opener just to remind you of all the tricks of the trade. Good Luck this weekend.

i fish alot for lakers on lake superior but i have never fish for them on inland lakes. BUT, in my experience, yes, lakers do bite at night. better late in the evening or very early morn but they do bite at night
