CrappiesNeyes
Does anyone have one? If so, what brand and how do you like it? I love my truck but I was wondering if it is worthe getting one to improve my performance when towing heavier stuff?
0 josterbauer
I have a smarty, but that is for a dodge diesel. Have you looked at hypertech? They make some pretty good electronics, or PPE. I don't know if they make programmers for gas or not.
0 Scott K
Power chips in gas vehicles dont do much. They will tell you 10-15% increase in power/torque/gas milage, but a normal driver would never be able to tell the difference. You would be much better off saving your money. I used to sell some power chips, they worked great in diesels, huge power increase 100 hp or more , and a huge increase in milage I have seen from 15 to an increase to 25. But with a gas engine, you may pick up 1-2 miles per gallon, but I doubt it! The power increase, was only under heavy load and accel. But was really unsure weather it actually had more power or if I or the customers just wanted to believe it had more since we put a power chip in it.
