Northwestern Minnesota crappie and sunfish lakes?

I haven't done any sunfish or crappie fishing and I would like to give it a try. Are there any lakes decent for that in the Northwestern part of Minnesota? Any help would be appreciated.

That's a tough order, but I don't need to tell you that if you live there. Lots of bog or prairie depending on whereabouts you stand.

I would seek out Red lake for the crappies, Lake of the Woods has some big slabs too.

Can't help you much on the bluegill. Try posting this in the Crookston, Thief River Falls, NW MN forum.

I would try Maple Lake (crappies have been good) gills active but smaller , Union, Sarah for better selection of gills, good luck fishing
