Frabill Kaboose

I picked up a Frabill Kaboose last week for 150 bucks.

Does anyone fish with one? If so how do you like it.

Also, did you beef up the hitch to take away some of the slop?

I hate to bash your new purchase but.....

I use to have one, I did not like it at all (that is the sugar coated answer). I ended up giving it to my uncle who has an ATV with the 2" reciever so I think he will get more use out of it than I did. There is a reason all the stores sell them for $100 and not the original 350.

Pros - doesnt take up any truck cargo space, the seats are great, there is a lot of room inside.

Cons - set up is very time consuming (this is the biggest downfall IMO), the clips to extend the poles are not well designed, getting it on and off the hitch is a 2 man job, you need a lot of ice to use it (enough to get your truck out unless you have an atv to put it on), to move spots requires full take down and set up again.

I've never seen one on the ice except for me the one time I used it ( yes I used it one time and then gave it away). I'll be sticking with the sled-flip over style portables. But maybe it's just me.

You should think about hanging on to the recipt and see what other people say on this thread.

I can set it up in under 2 minutes. And even less taking it down. I have a atv that I will be using it on. Only time itm will come off of it will be to pull out the permanent a few times.

I like it for what it is.

I have a Frabill flip over sled also that i use.
