Too old to Force Fetch???

When is it too old to Force Fetch a dog. I did not do it at an early age...he is now not holding the bird or bringing it all the way to me. He is 1.5 years old and I am thinking about starting the Force Fetch. He is a Lab.

Never to old to train a dog to do anything. The one drawback is that many times you have to undo the negative aspect that you are going to train for before or during the training. In the context of forcing a dog, that is one of the primary reasons for this training, so it is not an issue.

Read a fair amount on forcing and have it down in your head before you begin. Once you start the process you need to see it through till the end.
