discovered old motor in my parent basement

heya everyone, as i was lookin around my parent basement n i stumblin across the old beaten up on outside cover of 1980s? 7-10 hp tiller motor till i looked inside its all clean like its never ran before.. what shld i do to get it runnin? have some1 check it out if its okay to run or not? shld i go ahead n run it without worryin? thanks

Get it checked out. It will more than likely need an impeller and probably a carb cleaning before you run it.

Drain and replace the lower unit oil. Drain and flush out the gas tank and refill with using a 50-1 gas to oil ratio.

Put it in the water, choke it and start it up. Look to see if its pumping water out the tell tail. It be a good idea to replace the impeller soon.
