Question on slugs

Bought my wife a Benneli 20 ga. for hunting pheasants, she is now going to try deer hunting. I don't want to purchase a rifled barrel in case this is not her thing. So if I buy rifled slugs, what choke should I screw into the muzzle? Thanks for the help!

i always use a modified choke for mine.

ah here it comes.....it depends. Try them all. Start with IC, then Mod. Different flavors of rifled slugs may like different chokes. I recommend some type of aiming system other than the bead. you can get rifle sites that clamp on to the vent rib for cheap that will do a pretty good job. Also, try and come up with a gun vise or sighting in bench thing. That will help her immensely during that process and will lessen the odds she gets a little apprehensive about the kick. Slugs have a little more bite.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll go shooting this Sunday and try a couple different chokes.
