Need advice

During a vacation this September, I will be taking a short trip for an afternoon to a deep, clear lake (Big Round Lake), and was wondering what would be the best locations and lures to try. I was thinking of working some shallow-running lures over the weed tops. Thanks for any help.

I would probably start throwing a big bucktail or spinner off the deep weed edge or find some mid lake gravel and use a weighted suick to toss just my recs.
