Are these boats only available to resorts?? I see lots of resorts run 1750 Outfitters w/ 40 Hondas. My local dealer had a 1750 Outfitter SS on the lot last night. It was a very odd boat. It was a lot like an Alaskan with the exception of the storage and casting platform. In rough seas I don't think it would be safe to use the casting platform. It sits about 6" below the top of the gunwale.

So what gives with these boats...I see they are not even on Lunds HSOforum....US or Canada

My uncle just fished out of this boat at an outpost.

He liked it.It previously was only available in Canada.

Lund is starting production soon on this boat, and will be on the HSOforum in September! That's all the info I could get from them.

Ive spent about 5 weeks in the 1750 Lund Outfitter. I believe it is made to be a Canada camp boat. I would rate the boat very high. The one I have used was powered by a 50hp 4 stroke Yamaha. It runs the boat at about 32mph /gps with 2 guys and loaded with LOTs of tackle and full of gas. Its not super wide like a Crastliner but still pretty stable for its size. I do wish they would be available here in the US... I think I would consider buying one. I believe the HP rating is 60 on this boat which is plenty.

It should be a good amount less then the Lund Classic and Explorer boats of the same length. Its not as wide as they are and doesnt have all the "frills" like rod storage compartments, etc. I cant wait to see it for sale... I would consider one if its priced right.

Lund made a boat about 10-12 years ago similar to this one... same length and beam 17' 6" and 75" beam... it was called the Lund Pro Guide... a nice boat. The Outfitter that I have used in Canada had Vinyl floors which I really loved and was NON painted Hull... just natural aluminum which I like also. Its just a hard working fishing boat.... hopefully they dont run the price up by making it "pretty".

By the way- The boat I have used is a TILLER. I wouldnt even consider a console boat with a 75" beam. I did see a console Lund Outfitter but but since I am a Tiller guy when it comes to boats UNDER 18' no way I would even give it a second thought.

All the Outfitters I have fished out of and the one I own all have livewells and baitwells. They are great boats and very popular with camps that run better equipment. No complaints here.

      As a recovering machinist, I can appreciate that.  If the spec is 0.001 - 0.0015, then clearly the correct measurement is 0.00125, duh…

      I just figured that it is easy enough to just get a 3 bank so when the boat is not in use I can keep all 3 batteries charged. I have not bough a charger yet, maybe I will give it some more thought. Edit: After thinking this over, with the size, weight, and heat output of the charger (as well as the cost) I think it makes sense to just buy a 2 bank charger, I have a smaller charger i can use on the starting battery when the boat is sitting at home. Forgive me, for i am a retired engineer and I have to obsess over everything...

      Congrats on the motor!  I think you’ll like it.   I can’t say much on the charger location but I’ve seen them under the lid in back compartments and under center rod lockers.  160 degrees is more than I expected to hear.   Curious why you’re opting for a 3 bank charger with a 24V trolling motor.  Unless you don’t feel you be running you big motor enough to keep that battery up as well?

      I did buy an Minnkota Ulterra, thanks for the recommendations. I had a bunch of Cabela"s bucks saved up, which helped. Now i need to get an onboard battery charger. Where do you guys mount these things in your boat? The manufacturer I am looking at {Noco genius) says tht their 3-bank charger will run at 160 degrees, seems like a lot of heat in an enclosed compartment? Thanks for any input on this.

      Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe.  I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho.  Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.

      The water looked and smelled disgusting with hundreds of thousands of birds sh*tting in there.  About as gross as the Salton Sea. When I duck hunted there I didn't even want to touch the water.

      It's kinda gross with the algae in the summer but I got in it anyway.  Wanted to see the increased bouyancy at work.  You can kinda tuck yourself into a ball and you'll just float with your head above water.  When dry off you look diamond encrusted with the salt.

      We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there,but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
