Bald Eagles on Miss.R.?

Does anyone know just when and where would be the best time and place to try my new Tamron 70-300mm on some Baldies? Thanks!

Now through March should be great eagle watching. Just head for Wabasha and all points north and south from there. Pockets of open water on the river will congregate the eagles. A stop at the National Eagle Center in Wabasha will provide you with a ton of info about eagles and give you an up close and personal look at some birds in rehab. I took a trip in mid-March last year and met people from as far away as England that visited the area to photograph the eagles.
