Plastics for jigging spoons?

Is there any plastics that work better then another for a spoon like a forage minnow? I had some crappies down there but wouldn't bite the minnow head and am looking for other options to try. If the hook is a treble hook does it matter on plastic bait either? thanks for any help I haven't used much for plastics and want to try some. Slim

DeLong also has a few different plastics that work well on jigging spoons. They are supposed to immitate fake eyes. Pretty cool and they come in several different colors. Works well to add a little profile to the spoon...
