Aqua-Vu DVR

Saw the Aqua-Vu DVR on the DVD that came with the in fisherman Ice Fishing Guide. Has anyone used one of these the look great and looks easy to use. I was just wondering how the quality of the picture was. They say you can you can add a memory card but I have looked all over the internet and can’t seem to find what type of card it uses any one know.

The Reeds catalog says it is compatible with San Disk media cards. I'm thinking this might be my yearly purchase for ice fishing stuff I don't need.Good Luck and bring on the ice.

I know but thats the problem. ScanDisk make several different kinds of cards Compact Flash, Secure Digital, and smart media. I am not sure witch on it would use.

I have the DVR and it's awesome! I use a 512MB Secure Digtal card to record to.

I just bought an Aqua-Vu this past weekend. Havent had a chance to try it yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to see as many fish as MedicineMan recorded. Where the heck did you tape that...FISH HEAVEN? There is a little of everything on your tape, nice!

How much do these DVR Units cost? And how bad do they suck down the battery juice?

Great video how much can you record on a 512MB card I was thinking about getting a 2GB card. I did order one now since I saw you video. Will it work with any brand of SD card?

my guess is medicine man went to one of the cabelas fish tanks and filmed there!!! busted! man, i just dont know how you could film and not fish?????

CatManLee, The DVR costs around 100 bucks. They also use very little power.

I used the DVR last winter and it's definitely a fun piece of equipment. First time out I got footage of a high 30s pike. You can start recording very easily and you can also delete unwanted footage without going through too much hassle. I had the hand-held DVR attached to a Scout XL, worked very well.

There is also an Aqua Vu DVR package that comes with the DVR features built into the camera. It's a Scout XL but the DVR features are built in...

I also have the hand held DVR that you plug into the back of any Aqua-vu... I love it, its wasn't too expensive, ultra easy to use... I did this little video with mine this spring.. this is in 10 feet of water with about 5 feet visability. I like Matt use a Scout XL to plug the handheld DVR into.

I'm not 100% sure.. but, I would be willing to bet they use different connection pieces., so the answer would be no...

The answer on that one as Deitz has said is NO. The Aqua-Vu Handheld DVR is only for Aqua-Vus.

lookin4fish, I fish that spot A LOT! But sometimes I find it more enjoyable to watch the fish than to catch them. But I'll give ya the coordinates to that spot in exchange for that sweet fishing van of yours!
