computergeek
I was wondering if anyone fishes cats on the hard water around the crookston area. I fish the river during the spring but would like to learn how to fish it in the winter.
Wiskers
Hey that would be me.. Where are you at??? I live in Crookston also. I have fished the Redlake River for several years now.. Good Walleyes and Pike in there in the winter. As of yet not a cat through the ice though.. That is my goal.------------------Wiskers Guiding ServiceRed River & Minnesota River, for Channel Cats, Flatheads & WalleyesCrookston, MN[email protected]218-280-0442
computergeek
Whiskers,I live in International Falls. I usually make several trips to your area during the spring and summer to chase cats. I am not sure where I am going to stay next spring as my motel sank last year, the Country Club.I usually fish the spillway, bridge, or brushpiles between the landing and spillway. Have made one journey going down river from the landing and didn't do so hot.In what area are you doing your winter fishing?

Wiskers
computergeek......Is it true?????? Did they open the dams up there and let water start to enter the Rainy??? If so that means that the ice will be burning off pretty early this year.. You will have to keep us posted on the up and coming open water issue ..... ------------------Wiskers Guiding ServiceRed River & Minnesota River, for Channel Cats, Flatheads & WalleyesCrookston, MN[email protected]218-280-0442
