I went out between classes this morning to scout the areas that I am going to hunt this weekend. found alot of the shallower rice and weed covered ares to be frozen, but no farther than the edges. As far as birds I have not noticed a difference in the amount of birds pushed into the area yet. Hopefully numbers will be up for this weekend. I did see my first flock of Scaup this morning off of a point that I will be hunting. Other than that mostly ringies and mallards.
