tearin' lips
I made it out to canosia this afternoon. Right after the rain the grouse were out. I kicked up four in about an hour, then after that it went stale. Still alot of foilage in the woods. Those grouse pulled a disappearing act quick. The one that I did get though had about a six inch tail fan, real nice male. Forgot how pretty they are!! Anyhow, does anyone know how much pressure boulder lake wma gets. I was out there the other day and walked the whole trail system and saw one bird. I am sure that its a good place, but I must have hit it at a wrong time. I am still learning about the places to hunt in the duluth area. Hopefully I will have a great report for you guys after Sunday.
sachem longrifle
Hmmm, I always done well at BLMA. The trails are well traveled. Step off of the m and look for a mixed forest area with plenty of mid age aspen and you should see some
ReelTimes
Some of those areas do get alot of trail pressure. That is particularly true of canosia, boulder, and buzz ryan. If I hunt one of those areas, I either do it first thing in the morning when I know that I am the first one through on the trails or I will venture well off the trails and hunt in the woods. If you get off the trails, it doesn't really matter. If I want to hunt trails in the afternoon, I usually venture further out of town and hit trails that are unlikely to have been covered. Good luck
