SE MN Success

Went out last night (7/21) for a few hours after work to catch some trout. Halfway to my destination I realize that my camera is back home sitting on my coputer, so I know I am going to catch a big fish without it. Sure enough, 4 fish brought to hand going 15.5", 15", 14.5", and a little 10". The big guys were all caught from deep holes with many other follows. Too stubborn to use the bug rod, I was casting hardware at them. Had a few MONSTERS (20+") come screaming after my lure, but couldn't get any hook-ups. Great way to spend a few hours after the work week.

Hey Rugbyguy, nice fish. I was out all weekend in SE MN and had the same problem. Could find fish easy enough but could not convince them to bite. Threw every peice of hardware I had at them, watched them rush my lure, and then watched them dissapear. Had a good time anyway.

After our busy upcoming weekends, we need go tandomly back after those trout. Maybe a ZR river float, or a guys float down the Root. Nice report by the way. One of these times you need to remember that camera so you can chage that Avatar. Ice fishing is SOOOOOooo over.
