-Marc V-
Howdy All,Just looking for a little advice on where to fish for flatheads in river systems. I'm thinking (very new to the flat cat game, so feel free to shatter any hierachies I'm about to say) they hang out in the deep slow water by day, and cruise the main channel, by night to feed. Is this correct, or will they mainly hang out in deep pooled eddies during the night too? Or on the seam between the different waters? I guess at any given time they might be in any water, but looking for the most likely place for an active flatty to be feeding. Do they move on the shallower flats at night to feed? Could this be a good place to target them as well if there is a large deeper section of river just below the sand flat?I'm assuming they're most active at night, but I've seen a lot of day/early evening films taken in the last couple weeks also. Is early evening up until midnight a good time, or do they roam all night hunting for food? This is probably a huge can of worms I'm asking for help with, but any help on how to increase my odds of catching one of these cats is appreciated.Thanks.Marc
