1998 Yamaha SRX 700

Does anyone know what the SRX stands for?
I just bought one form a guy I know and am just curious on what the SRX stands for..

Its just a model name from my understanding.I believe it comes from what they called there motor lines. It is the fastest triple/triple that Yamaha has ever made. I owned one and it was a screamer. Couple things you want to do that sled.
1.Keep a extra belt with you always. Because it so fast you tend to go faster and belts like to blow at high speed.
2. Make sure you replace the slides regularly. That skid in the SRX is know to eat slides. They put out an extra wheel kit for it. If you can afford to buy it and install do it. It is well worth the coin.

I put an aftermarket clucth kit from Hauck Powersports, 192 Woody's, and a Hauck silencer on mine. It was fast. Good luck with it!
