The Morning Doves finally hatched!

My step kids are not so good at keeping the garage door closed and before I knew what happened a Morning Dove pair made a nest in the garage. I just couldn't evict it, as it was sitting on an egg before I realized what happened. That was 3-1/2 weeks ago. I was so afraid that the egg wans't viable since there was no noticible action, chirping, etc. and one source said that doves take 12 days to hatch. Well, the secret was revealed when I noticed the bird was out. It or it's mate sat on that nest 100% of the time, I never saw them change positions. I stuck my head up there and to my amazement found not one but two chicks nearly ready to fledge. They don't make a peep. Can't wait for the kids to grow up so I can shut my garage door again! Pretty cool birds, but they can find a different place to nest once this round is finished.
