Hey All,

If you are interested the Bassmaters Weekend Series is looking for non-boater (co-anglers) for their 4 tourneys in MN this year. Its a great schedule, Le Homme Deu, Whitefish, Pokegama & Tonka grin.gif You can find info on Bassmaster, com If any of you have had good experiences with the Gander, Silverado, or any other Pro-Ams this will be similar. Entrys are only $125 per and there is a discount for BASS members.

How do you know they are looking for non boaters? Just curious because I called BASS and asked how many boats were entered, they said they do not release that info. I do not doubt what you are saying just wondering where you got the info? Is the boater side full? I have been following the results of each series in Bass Times and looking at the payouts it does not like the fields are filling up. I am sure high oil may be having an impact for some. I am looking forward to the series myself.

The info was recieved 2nd hand from someone who talked to the Tournament Director for the North Star Division. But you are correct, BASS is not releasing that info. There is a discount available for Federation Members & Life Members to BASS, of $20 per tournament. So you can fish non-boat for $105!

I did get my registration information. It does indicate that there is a shortage of non-boaters and unless you are linked boaters could be paired if there are not enough non-boaters. If you are linked you will fish as intended. I am linked so it is not a problem but if you are a boater and not linked you may want to encourage a friend to register.

talked to BASS today and they confirmed the boater and nonboaters aren't equal. They wouldn't say the number of total boats registered, but I am not linked to a non-boater right now. They said observers are enlisted in the event there is a shortage, but that there may not be enough observers. For the first event they said the difference between boaters and non-boaters was about 15. So I am DEFINITELY looking for a non-boater link. HELP!!!!!!

senko- that is a good idea to not post your information on here.. I will however post that Mr.Peterson is a quality guy, and I consider him a friend from the past! Should you choose to fish with him I am positive you will learn a lot from him, no matter how good an agler you are.

Good luck!

Wayne-no I am not fishing any of them. I will be too busy shooting Hot Spot Outdoors shows..

Senko- I know Travis, and yes I have been to his web page and read a lot of his articles. With all that said, he is just a good guy who has a lot of sponsors!.. and deserves every one of them.

One thing to remember, these are draw tournaments, not team tournaments. By linking to a boater or non-boater, you are pretty much guaranteed of being able to fish the tournament, however the person you will be paired with, is done through a random draw.

According to information I received from Bass you will NOT be allowed to draw your linked boater. I could be wrong but that is waht I was told. Just a few more days and we can all start to throw them topwaters!@! laugh.gif

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
