Wondering if anyone has used them for flats? I found one that is 8' Heavy Line#14-50 Lure#2-5oz. I figured for $25 and a 10yr warranty, sound like a good rod for the money.

I have a 9ft. MH that I picked up a year ago and haven't had a chance to use yet. I got it out of the bargain cave and I had a seperate discount so I got it for about $9.50. Mine might be too light for flatheads but they seem like a tough rod and I think the Heavy would be great for flats. They seem pretty indestructable. Mine is a spinning rod so I have to invest in a tough reel to match it. Bait casters don't fit my hands.

I bought one a couple months ago. the 8 footer heavey action with the roller guides. I figured for $30 I cant go wrong. I am going to try it out on some sturgeon this weekend. Hopefully I can find some flats to test it on this summer as well.
