Preparing the Boat for a Season on Lake MI

Well, no more ice, as Bob has pointed out, but open water fishing will be here/is here depending on what you want to fish for. I will be busy stripping bottom paint on the Big boat and then applying a few coats of this and a couple of that in order to make sure I have a BEAUTIFUL bottom. I estimate about $750 in paint type products by the time I am done! Then there is the $500 survey to prove that the boat floats so that I can get my insurance policy. Glad that only happens about every 5 years!

Anyway, I bet you can go in front of the stacks North of the Harbor and catch some browns. Any reports? I will be busy getting a bath in paint stripper, or I would get Captain Mel to take me in his boat.
