Duck Hunting Mille Lacs?

Has anyone done any hunting in the mille lacs area?

any reports of the area?

any recomendations on where to go?

Yooper -

Go over to the south and west of the big pond to Shakopee Lake or Lake Onamia - Good hunting over there.

we hunt a lake about 15 miles to the SW of Mille Lacs a couple times each year...was out there Saturday and there were high numbers of divers and geese around, as well as a few mallards and woodies...bag consisted of mallards, a woodduck, and two cans! Have always wanted to hunt mille lacs itself but don't know where to start. My recommendation is to take an afternoon and drive around using a map of the lakes in the area, drop in at the public accesses and scope out some spots. Sorry I can't give you the name of the specific lake we were hunting.
