Tonka - First Time

Heading out to tanka for the first time. I'm going to narrow it down to 1 bay and see if I can't locate some fish. Can anyone give me an ideas of which bay is easiest and what's been working, ie. depth, structure type? Thanks for the help.

East side of lake work the Big Island weedlines. West side work around Eagle, Crane and Wawatosa island weedlines. You can also fish almost every bouy line you see. Topwaters, bucktails and big spinner baits. Lean toward black and orange for colors. Been very slow on Tonka this summer nad I haven't been out in two weeks (out of town) but the above areas always hold fish. Also if you see shallow sand flats don't hesitate to throw a few casts to them. There has been a shallow bite about this time of year. Good luck.

They are shallow right now. 10 feet and less. I expect that for a few more weeks. Last weekend, 41 and 48 on bucktails, black and gold blade. Also, moved a fish that went 50-52" (I know where she lives) on a Top Raider.

Don't forget to hit the bays and docks too! Bouys are always a top choice for me as well!

Run that spinner/bucktail over the weeds and you will have success!
